Welcome to Green Man Words. If you’re looking for inspiration, creativity and support during your writing journey then you’ve come to the right place.

I offer mentoring for early-stage authors and provide editing of early drafts (which I call ‘book whispering’ ). You’ll find writing advice on this website and some thoughts from me on writing, research and life in general on my blog.

I’m the author of six novels, three historical fiction books published by Boldwood Books and three fantasy novels which I indie published. My second historical fiction novel, The Lavender Bride is shortlisted for the Historical Romance Award at the Romantic Novel of the Year Awards 2026.

I’m also an experienced creative writing tutor, public speaker and workshop facilitator. You can find out more about this on the teaching, talks and workshops part of the website.
